PJ Bags

Check out this blog a mum of 7 sharing organisational tips for large families. It is fairly new, and she's still learning how to use blogger but she has the knowledgeable content to create a fantastic blog and resource for busy mothers with lots of kids.

On this blog post she talks about her boys room. In particular her "PJ BAGS". I like the concept and the simplicity in this progress. So I pulled out some odd pillow cases (2 pink, 2 blue), sewed button holes into them, threaded a coat hanger in and wah-lah... Our very own PJ Bags.

It was awhile ago now I was laying around big, fat and pregnant remembering how when I was a child I had to put my PJs under my pillow. It was one of my jobs. So. I suddenly asked Isaiah to get his PJs that he had picked up and put them under his pillow. He looked at me like I'm nuts (I'm not offended - I'm used to that look). I came back soonish afterwards and found NO PJs on his bed. I went got his pillow (which was sitting on the end of MY bed) & picked it up to go put on his own bed and there, under HIS pillow was HIS PJs. Now that is obedience for you!!

This act of PJs under Pillows cut my washing down a whole load (significant in my place!). But after roughly 6 months they are slacking off and end up being put into the wash again. Perhaps it is because they don't have pillows? Anyway. I am hoping their new PJ bags will mean PJ get put into the bags instead of the wash.

Like the bunk? It is a midi-line or mid-line. Meaning it is a short bunk. 120?cm off the ground. Safer for littler kids while still creating space for extra beds & toys & things.

Funny: I have a 3yr old that doesn't like sleeping in a bed, and a 2yr old that doesn't like sleeping in a cot. I have a 3yr old in a cot, and a 2yr old in a bed. Go Figure!!

p.s. The children are currently cleaning up their bedroom... cos it is a mess...
