Discovery Trunk

I'm always open to great idea and I here is a brilliant one.
They are called 'Discovery Trunks' and they have been created by mother of three, Bronwyn Thomas.

Discovery Trunks are the answer that many parents search for as quality birthday gifts or simply a way of occupying their children with activities that are both educational and fun. Each trunk is theme based and is suggested to suit children who are 3 - 7 years old.

I had the pleasure to road test the 'colour' trunk with my niece and nephew.
Although they are 7 and 9 years old they themselves would highly recommend these to others.
Here is our experience with a Discovery Trunk.

It is clear early on that Discovery Trunks have been made with children in mind. The instruction booklet is clear and easy to follow with step-by-step instructions and pictures. 

It also uses language that children understand! 

Here is Charlie making a coloured spinning top. 

As we made our way through the instructions Charlie pointed out a very noticeable fact - 

"It has everything you need". He was completely right. Discovery Trunks have everything you need to complete each of the activities. It even comes with it's own hole punch! 

Charlie LOVED making his coloured spinning top. 

He become quite keen to experiment with using a variety of colours and how this would change the look of the spinning top when it was turning. "Oh wow, quick! Look at it turning"

  

Sarah thoroughly enjoyed making her stain-glass butterfly using the coloured paper provided. 

This also gave us an opportunity to talk about colours and what happens when we mix them together. 

 

Sarah was so proud of what she made. Discovery Trunks allow children to really experience success in what they do. The activities all cater for a wide variety of abilities.
