A day in paradise... :)

What bliss it is to sit where land meets water and ponder the thoughts of the world, life, your life in this world.

6 hours I had the blissful time of soaking up the UV rays (literally - see picture below) in the presence of several lovely women who love The Lord and a pile of children.

I think there were 15 children amongst us for the majority of the day with just 3 mums. How cool!

The children paired off with friends and played together, switched playmates and switched again.

Babies playing in the sand near mums, 3yr olds driving dump trucks up and down and into the ocean, 4yr olds squealing with delight each time a wave came and caught their backsides, 6yr olds climbing on a rock surrounded by water checking out animal life and plant life and catching starfish, the rest? I have no idea how old they are!! I did but I forgot.

Witnessing no fighting between SO MANY children playing lovingly, friendly with new playmates of ALL ages. Inter-generational. I loved it.

It happened around 9 months ago with the same kids and the same mums and they all got along well then too! They've all grown that little bit more too. Changed and grown up. That's been wonderful to see.

Even with the tightening of my back skin & the eloquent position I lie in I am looking forward to this summer...

And am buying a sunshade... And some NON-organic sunscreen.. Cos the stuff I DID put on obviously didn't work!!

Disclaimer: the kids got sunscreen except Isaiah - how did I miss that? And only Isaiah got burnt. Jarah has pale skin and is always red, especially during teething. The baby has gone slightly brown in the face (Maori skin) and Amalia had a whole heap of hair in her face. Even with reapplications..
