Now that this special baby has been born and gotten herself into somewhat of a routine we spend our nights a lot differently than I used to spend them. A few weeks ago they were spent in the learning area of our home doing learning activities, sometimes child-led sometimes we would do reading/maths activities together until bed time.
Now I spend my nights feeding, burping and cuddling my baby for a couple of hours - straight.
Miss Hosannah Praise has chosen a cluster of feeds before the long haul of sleeping 7 hours through the night. Yep, I am a genius who can have young babes sleep through the night! Without crying!... Okay it has little to do with me. She is demand fed.
In between feeds I scoff some food down, get some jobs done like clean the kitchen, and read to a kid or 5 or be read to.
It can be a bit of a juggle as it can be (but is usually after) dinner time/feed time/clean up time/bed time - but we seem to manage it easily overall. And Hosannah and I really enjoy the time together. Well I do ;)
Michael does most of the jobs at dinner time while spending time with the children, his choice, and a real testimony to Prayer and God's gracious goodness to our family.
5 Things I am Thankful for:
1. The time
2. Hubby doing a lot of works for us
3. Self-lessness in so very many ways
4. Changes
5. Smooth transitions, meaning God is touching our lives and our hearts
