Already present were family members and a few friends awaiting our arrival.
Hubby had no idea although he put two and two together (daughter stating we were at church, being blind folded)
I got him out of the car, put him in front of a heap of people and run. You know what happened? He just stood there!
And nothing happened.
So I said 'you can take it off' and as he did the people screamed.
You know what was meant to happen? Water bombs. But they didn't :(
The night was a success. And enjoyed be me at least.
The hubby said he felt blessed.
A few people gave speeches, then we had dessert.
Ice cream cones with ice magic & sprinkles for the kids. Pavlova, rice pudding, 97 gorgeous cupcakes.
For dinner there was sausage casserole, a rice dish, lasagne, and two salads.
It was a low-key event. Kind of what the hubby seems to prefer. With not too many people - which is hard to do when just his siblings and partners and parents and kids is 18.
I think it was a success... And he was buzzing all night.
Until the morning when he woke up very very sore.
