Chaotic happenings... Part 2

So tonight (Friday night) we had dinner at my inlaws. That's 17 people. It's really a no brainer as we've done it a zillion times before, meaning it's not a stressful catering event type thing...

I was pondering life as I do in a busy crowd and wondering what FIL would enjoy most for his birthday.

Kids were roaming and screaming this way and that way. A pile of different agendas and screams all over the place.

I thought.. He's almost got all of his kids in the one place. That is a fairly proud thing for a person with 9 kids I could imagine. For me anyway. I'd be proud ;)

As I sat back and observed I felt proud of some of the things I am trying to instill into my children, and proud of my hubby for deciding to give up teasing on his own accord. Nothing short of a miracle!!

Anyway... The movement of 17 heads in a small place is busy.

As the night wore on one couple left, one person arrived to pick another up and as they went to leave one came running inside...

Why?

Because...

There was an old man wearing a doona over his head and you couldn't even see his face.

Fil noticed the light on in my sis in laws car. Had that been on ALL night? No apparently not! And her door was jammed open with something black stuck in the door. Freaky hey!

I mean if the part where an incoherent doona-clad old man is standing outside your house on a wet windy night isn't enough to spook you add in the possible break in of ones car.

As we left the house to the car all 6 of us trapsed out together, careful to know where each of my children were and on high alert of danger.

As we went for a short drive we passed this doona-clad man. It appears he was wearing a hooded bathrobe. But white. And appeared to have no issues in walking.

Spooky as!!
