On April 2, Christiana High School (CHS) celebrated Autism Awareness Day and participated in the "Light It Up Blue" movement in which buildings across the country are lit in blue light in support of Autism, and many people wear blue clothing to demonstrate their support. The main goal is to spread awareness about this disorder in our country. At CHS, the Honor Society took on this project and encouraged all students and staff to wear blue on April 2. To raise awareness, the halls were decorated in blue, students and staff wore blue ribbons, 'blue treats' were sold at the bake sale, and facts about autism were read during the school announcements. To date, the CHS National Honor Society has raised over $450 which will be donated to Autism Awareness.
