Trusting in God - clothing storage

It is easy in our western society to state we don't have enough when our homes are full of stuff. I thought I needed a full family set of clothing needs for winter.. I was wrong..

Don't worry about what you will eat or wear...

We have moved, lots. Too much, and too far. We packed a ton of baby gear and moved it interstate, acquired more.. Then moved it + more back.. Then gave loads away. Then moved again.. That's a lot of packing, storing, moving and unpacking clothing items that are just sitting waiting to be usable.

Because my children go boy:girl:boy:girl and there is 3 1/2yrs between my two boys and 3yrs between my two girls it will take 3 years for hand-me-downs to fit the next child down.

That is a lot of storage and a lot of space just sitting and waiting to be usable.

Not only does it cost money to store (I used 55L plastic tubs) it takes up space in the home (we don't have a shed) and it gets moved around the house a lot.. Taking physical and emotional strength to move it all around and keep everything clean and tidy, and having to look at it all the time. If we had a shed I might think/feel differently.

Asking a few special people with several children what they do with their kids clothing said they keep a few things if they are special the rest get passed along to the next child in church a size smaller. Some end up getting it back for their younger child.
It's easy enough to do.

I am continuously grateful for the generosity of others passing their unused clothing onto me/us for my family, and get to do the same.

So here I stand... Trusting God to provide my families clothing needs.. Frugally & Sustainably..
