Perth trip - day 4.

Today started off a bit slower then previous days. I had plans on heading to the zoo as the weather is nice but mik had a gym session planned.
By the time we got to UWA (for gym), drove kids to kings park, climbed the DNA tower, found the children and family park, picked Michael up, returned to the park and had lunch it was 12:30.

The children exclaim 'that your annoying the kids' to me when I made them get in the car, stop playing to take one child to the toilet or some other reason. I think that must be a bit like payback ;) one of the children had the joyful experience of being in time out while the other children played.

Obedience is very important to us as a family. We know that if they are obedient as children that when they are older they will find it easier to submit to authority and obey God. We also know that it could save their life one day (eg saying not to go near the road could save them getting hit by a vehicle).

I havnt seen or climbed the DNA tower for a very long time so that was interesting. Made my legs feel like jelly and worry about the children falling downstairs. And it's so high I didn't like that either :/

At the kingspark park the children are exploring whilst also practicing restraint. The playground is so big we are refusing to allow them to go where they desire. The section we are in is massive so there's lots to explore and kids to play with. Children are even protecting their siblings. Very cute.

Anyway...

After awhile we got the idea to head to the museum so we walked to town!! Stopping off at sumo salad (lovely Brisbane memories), and apple shop. Then heading through Perth train station to the museum. The place sure has changed since last I was there. I think it looks much lovelier now!!

Out the front was a mini-playground thing with huge instrument type things. That was really awesome!! Kids loved it and so did I. I would have loved to have stayed there for ages but we were on a mission.

Inside is a giant dinosaur. We went through the revolving door. What an interesting feat!

The museum was fairly good, detailed and completely based on the evolution theory. What disturbs me most is the wording of the theory being presented as fact and using carbon dating as its reliable sources. See, carbon dating is not accurate. In fact using carbon dating methods they tested a live bird to have been 'extinct for millions of years'.

I don't believe in evolution. The parts where we exploded and the earth just happened for no reason or known cause. The parts that we evolved from monkeys or apes blows the morals of society out or the part where we have feelings and value others.

No, if we had no deeper purpose than to worship our creator we could completely be free to do as we please, sleep with whoever and no one gets hurt, marriage is unnecessary, nothing belongs to us so we could steal, lie, etc.

I could go on.. And on.. And on..

Anyway.. The museum was good, the facts not so much ;)

As we came out it was raining so we walked a little bit and caught the city cat bus. The children were excited about their bus ride. One more thing ticked off the list.

After we got to our car we drove back to camp, cooked dinner and tried to get kids to go to sleep.

Oh yeah.. It rained and we got caught in traffic ;) rode the lifts, and pressed the button to cross the road safely.
