Perth Trip - Day 7 - visiting friends

Today I dropped Michael off at a Christian conference and drove to the other side of the city to visit two school friends. I had a lovely relaxing time just chilling and watching the kids play.

On the drive after dropping the Papa off we cranked the kids songs (that he hates) and the kids sang and danced and went wild for a good few minutes. At one point I spotted matching cars. The first with flowers on the roof. I turned the music down and asked them to stop and be very quiet please. I then explained that someone had died and their was a dead body in the car with flowers. The children asked several questions that I answered best I could. They wanted to know why they needed to be quiet and I told them that they probably don't want to listen to a car full of kids singing and dancing loudly because it's showing respect and honor to them.

One of my friends borrowed a bouncy castle so the kids bounced for awhile and threw balls into the hoop thing.

My children, who are completely out of routine and ate full bellies of ice creams and preservative ridden foods at sizzled the night before we VERY well behaved. Ok, so except that part where my kids take sand off the sand table and distribute it to a variety of places. Apart from that..

Afterwards I headed to my old stomping ground. I grew up in the area of Roleystone. Being up here is showing me how I don't have connections to this place anymore. Not even any feelings of nostalgia like I thought there might be.

I visited a country friend who cleverly moved to Roley ;) *waves* that was so cool!!! Shes awesome.

I wonder how it is that I got no photos :(

Afterwards we headed down the hill to see the Perth city lights the way I used to.

Headed into Maddington for dinner. I stopped in at best n less & Kmart. If your a city person DO NOT COMPLAIN KIDS CLOTHES ARE EXPENSIVE!!!! They are so cheap!!!!!
Bought a heap of shirts for the kids and some for next year, some new toys and shoes. Could've bought so much more.

Amalia loves clothing. She knows everyone's sizes and looks for appropriate clothing for each person. She has no sense of money (yet) so picks stuff that I can not afford or would want to spend that much on. I think I am coming to grips with having to buy her at least one clothing item every time I clothe shop with her. Usually it's only a few $$ but she gets expensive 😁 especially considering she has loads of clothes already do its unnecessary spending. I put it down to.. How much $$ is her self-esteem, self-worth, love and affection worth to me? And it's worth a whole lot more than a $4 singlet she doesn't need!!! See, she likes receiving gifts. She feels special when people give her gifts, especially wearable ones and art/drawing stuff.

We then bought strawberries for dinner. And a milk shake :)

Then drove to the other side of the city to pick Michael up (where I am sitting now).

Hopefully we can head to camp soon to sleep :)

Night all xxx
