Perth trip - day 9 - ikea & driving home

Today we hitched the trailer on and headed up to Ikea to purchase a bookcase for the girls room.

We were gearing up to drag 4 kids quickly through the massive showroom to the bookcase, pick it up from the self-serve area and through the checkout. And then I saw it. The 'crèche' conveniently located right near the entrance. 3+ up :) I signed 3 in and was given an hour.

Mik, Avigail and I trotted through at lightening speed to where I wanted to go. Got the numbers, looked around, blah blah blah, took our numbers and piled a trolley high with our chosen gear :) through the checkout and picked up the kids.

The kids had loads of fun.

Ikea is such a large store I think you could get lost easily amongst it all. That and exit a lot poorer then you entered. I think you could be in their for hours and hours. I didn't want to be.

We bought the bookcase, 5x baskets to go in the case to store stuff in, 3x tables in white, black and green for the children to sit and do their school work WITHOUT HAVING TO TOUCH EACH OTHER ;) a pink chair for Amalia and her white table ;) and that's it... So more than we went in for but not as much as we could have left with.

Afterwards we went to the shopping centre to find mik converse shoes. But couldn't find them. We did spend $$ their too :( lunch and socks and jocks and hair clips for my pretty princess.

As we walked through Myers and all their colourful displays of clothing Miss Shop-a-holic suddenly died and went to heaven. I unfortunately revived her back to the real life and dragged her through less colorful shops.

After this we went to harbor town. Mik bought the shoes he was after and then we left. Very quick.

After this we headed back to camp to start packing and getting ready to leave. Mik says he would rather leave today... And he's serious. So we are leaving today. Quickly buying supplies, packing up and heading home.

Get this bit though (Hee Hee) on the agreement that mik gets to sleep in AND he helps me put this bookcase together *huge grin* we'll leave today. And for the record he agreed. He said that we'll get the bookcase done in 30 minutes. I said maybe 40.. ;)

I'm excited about the shelving unit, not so much about traveling home (mentally unprepared for it).

So that's it :)
Perth trip over and done...
Xxxxx
